Since 1974 Dr. Houtsma has been holding crusades in India, Asia, Africa, Russia, and South America. Closing crowds in these meetings have reached up to an estimated 700,000 people in a single service. Over 8 1/4 million have received Christ in their lives, and countless thousands have been healed - the deaf hear, the dumb speak, the blind see, and the lame walk.
At each Crusade, World Outreach enlists the support of businesses, churches, and hundreds (sometimes thousands) of volunteers in the local community where the Crusade is held. Depending on the needs of a given area, we hire contractors for construction, technicians for sound and lights, catering services to provide thousands of meals, printers to produce literature and advertisement, transportation services and even accommodations for thousands of participants.
While it is our desire to bless the church whenever possible, we also feel the need to be a good steward over the limited financial resources that we have available. Often there is the sense that such a great work cannot be accomplished on so little a budget. Fortunately, when local leaders understand the sacrifice World Outreach is making for investment in their community, they often provide services at or below cost in order to stretch every dollar. It is this attitude of mutual cooperation and willing sacrifice that underlies all of our efforts.
Often people are told they are of little or no value, or that what they have to offer could never make a difference in their community. But when they see an outsider going to such extents to reach their neighborhood, their families and their city, an attitude of deep gratitude motivates them to do more than was ever believed possible. This often results in an ongoing practice of volunteers and leaders regularly making sacrifices to reach their communities and learning their true potential through the blessings of God.
The average closing crowd at the Crusade meetings is 90,000 people and due to the Crusades and Leadership Conferences many new churches have been born. Your prayer and support for this ministry is and will eternally be, deeply appreciated.

At each World Outreach Crusade, Leadership Conferences are held. The ministry of World Outreach has trained tens of thousands of local Christian leaders in evangelism and ministry techniques. Our outreach ministry is always done in cooperation with many local churches representing countless denominations. It is our desire to promote unity and fellowship between these denominational groups. Along with this we have always created opportunity for the leaders of various churches and organizations to come together for a special time of ministry. The focus of these conferences is to provide the Christian leaders with a personal encounter with the supernatural power of God and to encourage them to find success in their individual works. In addition to providing much needed training, these conferences provide an opportunity for Christian leaders to develop lasting inter-church relationships. In order to make attendance accessible for all, no registration fee is required and the temporary housing and feeding is provided free of charge for all out of town registrants.
